Babes in the Woods (new born to toddlers) (1)
This group is to nurture parents as much as it is babies. If you love spending time outdoors, being creative and learning new skills this is the group for you.
Time & Location
08 Oct 2018, 09:45 – 13:45
About The Event
Expect a mix of natural sensory play along with environmental art, crafts, mindfulness, wildlife ID skills and the support and company of a group of likeminded people.
£5 per adult including a cup of tea. Booking is not essential.
Shining Cliff Wood, Higg Lane. We will meet at the entrance to Peat Pit Wood.
Who is it for?
For babies, toddlers and their parents. There is lots for babies to experience an for toddlers to explore. This slower paced session might be more suitable than a family Forest School session. I’ll let you be the judge, no one knows your child better than you.
What to wear?
Please wear sensible outdoor clothing and dress your little one in lots of layers. A baby carrier is advisable into the autumn and winter months as they will benefit from your heat but the paths are suitable for pushchairs.
The group will run rain or shine and I encourage you to venture out no matter what. I have tarpaulins so we can shelter in the dry and enjoy the sound and smell of the woods in the rain.
Follow the A6 north out of Belper, turn left onto New Road after the bidge at the Family Tree in Whatstandwell. This will turn into Higg Lane, follow for 1.5 miles. You’ll go past Alderwasley hall. The entrance to Peat Pit Wood is on the left not far from the end of the lane. You will see a pull in with a gate. Parking will be tight, please be mindful of keeping access clear to the gate and lane.
Don’t be put off if your going to miss the start. Send me a text or give me a call and I’ll let you know where we will be so you can catch up.
I look forward to seeing you in the woods!
