About The Event
This workshop is to inspire adults to introduce mindfulness, movement and meditation into young people’s everyday lives. To encourage self care and to emotionally support young people utilising the power of nature. We aim to give you the confidence to explore the natural world to get back to the basics of how to feel in the moment and fully present. Using mindfulness you will be guided to find a deeper connection to the woodland, tapping into why nature is so vital for our wellbeing. We will give you a tool box of ideas to bring presence and calm to support and engage the children in your care.
Prior to booking please ensure you read and agree to our terms & conditions
We meet in Shining Cliff Wood. Please see here for details of how to find us
We will follow the Forest School ethos to learn. From the seed of an idea, through to group discussion and exploration of the natural world, you will be encouraged to explore your own emotions and develop how you support others. We believe there is no better place to learn than outdoors and will spend the whole day in the woods. During the morning we will immerse ourselves in the varied techniques of wellbeing for children. The afternoon will give you the opportunity to develop these techniques making them relevant to you and your own setting.
Bringing mindfulness and meditation into both our own and our children’s lives not only calms but also lifts the soul and is imperative for our children’s development. If you would like to nurture and support the next generation of well grounded, confident and resilient children, then we believe that putting a little love into their lives helps to lay the foundations for thoughtful, kind and open hearts, vital to their emotional development.

This course is for anyone who would like the skills and the confidence to use wellness techniques with children. If you are a teacher, parent, Forest School practitioner or anyone who spends time with children then this course is for you. Alternatively if you would like us to bring the course to your setting please get in touch.
A simple lunch of bread and a hearty soup cooked on the fire is included plus plenty of refreshments throughout the day.
We will run rain or shine so please come prepared. You never know what the British weather will throw at us so full waterproofs and plenty of layers is advisable. We encourage people of all abilities but a certain level of fitness is required to explore the woodland. There may be sitting or lying on the ground required so if you need to please bring a kneeling pad.
The course will be lead by Allison Prince, a professional Yoga instructor and wellness coach. Allison brings many years of experience and thought provoking techniques using the outdoors as our greatest teacher. Kerry Gill from Woodlanders Forest School will support throughout the day bringing her expertise of the natural world and the Forest School approach to help guide you.
We look forward to seeing you in the woods!
